Mr Justin, librarian and artist extraordinaire, will teach you how to make BIG drawings at our next Full STEAM Ahead event. I asked him to give me some specifics for this blog. Here's what he says you can expect.
" We will explore simple methods for turning your normal size drawings into super huge drawings. We'll use grids to enlarge small drawings, try out tracing projected images, and work on a large mystery group drawing. Chuck Close is a notable artist we will look at who uses grids to enlarge his drawings and paintings."
If you'd like to attend Art Hacks: Drawing Big on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 4 p.m., you must be 8-12 years old. You also have to register online or by phone (205-444-7830) beginning 11/05. After the session, stop by the Kid Zone nonfiction shelves and look for Dewey Decimal number 743. You'll find even more tips to help you improve your drawings If you'd like a biography about Chuck Close, look for JB CLO.
