PANDORA IRWIN
Returning for her fifth year to the Hoover Public Library’s ESL program is our virtual instructor, Panda Irwin. She brings dozens of years teaching experience to our program, including several years as program director in a local ESL program. Panda has a talent for connecting with students in a virtual environment and the ability to immediately put nervous students at ease. Panda loves to travel and put her language skills to good use! When she isn’t teaching our two virtual ESL classes, Panda loves to spend time with her children, two grandchildren and her sweet pup named Daisy.
KATE M. OAKLEY
The Hoover Public Library is excited to welcome Kate Oakley as the in-person instructor to our ESL program! Kate brings over fifteen years of experience helping students from diverse backgrounds reach their educational goals. When not teaching English at the library, she enjoys reading, swimming, gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Kate's family includes one son, one dog, one lizard and too many plants to count.
