I know, I know! You haven't been hearing a lot about Teen Summer Reading yet on the blog. I'm sorry, but there is a good reason. The programs are filling up so fast, I don't have time to advertise them! But, fear not, You Are Here is going strong. Here's what the rising 6th-12th graders have been up to this month.
Get Your Game On - Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
45 teens challenged each other to Super Smash Brothers on the Wii! Big winner Nathan earned a $25 gift card to Game Stop.
Caffeine and Canvas - Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
This program filled up ridiculously quickly. Check out these pics, and you'll know why! Artist Lynn Elkins guided 27 teens in creating an owl-themed work of art.
Steampunk Mad Tea Party - Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
If you're not familiar with steampunk, you better get with the program. This is one of the hottest genres for teens right now. We focused on just a small part of the phenomenon: tricked-out top hats, created by 18 teens.
Make Cake Pops - Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
