Teen Tech Week
Teen Tech Week is a national initiative sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It aims to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technology resources in the library, both for education and recreation.
So use this week, March 6-12, 2011, to become familiar with all the great technology available for FREE from the Hoover Public Library.
1. Check out DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks (books-on-CD and playaways), and video games (DS, PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox)
2. Downloadable audiobooks and ebooks
3. Online databases (especially popular for term papers: Opposing Viewpoints)
4. Library's website and blog (which you've already found, so check it off your list!)
5. Facebook and Twitter (to keep up with everything great about the library)
6. Goodreads (for book recommendations)
7. Mango Languages
