Children Outreach
Outreach To Daycares
In an effort to expose young children to books at a very early age, the Children's department offers outreach services to daycare centers located in the City of Hoover. We can visit your location four times each year to promote books, reading and libraries through a special storytime presentation. Call Jeremy Davis, our preschool outreach coordinator today to schedule a visit for your school, 444-7837.
Outreach To Elementary Schools
Let us come to your school! The Hoover Public Library is committed to working with local schools to promote books, reading and libraries. We’ll be happy to come talk to teachers about new books, or present a storytime at your next writer’s conference…just let us know what you need! Each school may request up to four visits per year. Schools must be located in the City of Hoover. Call Katie Jane Morris, our elementary outreach coordinator today to schedule a visit for your school, 444-7839.
Tours
Bring your class or group and see what the library has to offer! The Children's department will schedule a tour for your group and customize it to your needs. We can do a storytime, teach you how to use the computer catalog or give you a tour of our entire facility…it’s up to you! Tours are available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2p.m. - 5p.m. and Friday mornings from 9a.m.- 2p.m., and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Call 444-7839 for more information.
