The Library Plaza Project
The Library Plaza will be an exciting place for our citizens to engage in the Hoover Community. Features will include a retail coffee shop, comfortable seating, wireless internet, flexible meeting areas, a newsstand, as well as a new space for The Friends Bookstore and much more. The Library Plaza project is really moving fast now. The brick work is complete and it was amazing to watch the brick masons at work.
The windows and doors on the Plaza will be going up the week of November 17. Then comes the sheetrock, shelving, carpet, etc.
The library staff is busy planning great programs for the Plaza stage when the area opens in January. We are excited about what's going to be happening on the Library Plaza next year. We will be announcing our grand opening date soon.
Coffee-ol-ogy is putting together a wonderful menu of coffees, sandwiches and more to offer our library patrons.
The Friends of the Library are preparing to move their book store to their new location on the Plaza.
