Lauren Willig
Lauren Willig is the New York Times best-selling author of 13 works of historical fiction. Her books have been awarded the RITA, Booksellers Best and Golden Leaf awards, and chosen for the American Library Association's annual list of the best genre fiction. After graduating from Yale University, she embarked on a PhD in English History at Harvard before leaving academia to acquire a JD at Harvard Law while authoring her Pink Carnation series of Napoleonic-set novels. She lives in New York City where she now writes full time.  Her most recent book, That Summer was published in June and the next installment of her Pink Carnation series, The Mark of the Midnight Manzanilla will be published in August.

Abbi Glines
Abbi Glines is the #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal best-selling author of the Rosemary Beach, Sea Breeze, Vincent Boys and Existence series. A devoted booklover, Abbi lives with her family in Alabama. She maintains a Twitter addiction at @AbbiGlines and can also be found at facebook.com/AbbiGlinesAuthor and AbbiGlines.com.  Among her newest releases are Rush Too Far and Sometimes it Lasts.

Suzanne Johnson/Susannah Sandlin
Suzanne Johnson is the author of the Sentinels of New Orleans urban fantasy series. Writing as Susannah Sandlin, she writes romantic suspense and The Penton Legacy paranormal romance series.  A longtime New Orleans resident, Suzanne is a veteran journalist with more than 50 national awards in writing and editing nonfiction for higher education, including the Robert S. Sibley Award for the best university magazine in the U.S. and Canada. She is an active member of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and Romance Writers of America.  Her latest titles are Elysian Fields (Sentinels of New Orleans) and Allegiance (Penton Legacy).

Beatriz Williams / Juliana Gray
A graduate of Stanford University with an MBA from Columbia, Beatriz spent several years in New York and London hiding her early attempts at fiction, first on company laptops as a corporate and communications strategy consultant, and then as an at-home producer of small persons.  She now lives with her husband and four children near the Connecticut shore where she divides her time between writing and laundry.  Her latest releases include The Secret Life of Violet Grant and, writing as Juliana Gray, How to School Your Scoundrel.

Jennifer Echols
Jennifer Echols was born in Atlanta and grew up in a small town on a beautiful lake in Alabama – a setting that has inspired many of her books. Her novel Going Too Far was a finalist for the RITA award and was nominated by the American Library Association as a Best Book for Young Adults. Her latest YA, Dirty Little Secret, won the Alabama Library Association's Author Award. Simon & Schuster debuted her adult and new adult romance novels in 2013, and her Superlatives series of YA romantic comedies debuted with the publication of Biggest Flirts this spring. She lives in Birmingham with her husband and her son.

Lexi George
Lexi George is an appellate lawyer by day and a romance writer by night. She writes paranormal romance about sassy Southern heroines and hunky demon hunters. Lexi lives in a small town in Alabama with her two daughters, Thing One and Thing Two. Her Divine Majesty Bama Louise, a Labrador Retriever princess, lives with them, ruling her kingdom with an iron paw. Lexi is hard at work on the next book in the demon hunter series, Demon Hunting with a Dixie Deb, a fish-out-of-water tale.

Christy Reece / Ella Grace
Growing up in a tiny Alabama community boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures. After years of talking to the characters in her head, she finally decided to write the stories they had been telling her. Now, she and her characters couldn’t be happier. Christy lives in Alabama with her husband, five incredibly cute but precocious canines, and one very shy turtle.  She also writes steamy southern romantic suspense as Ella Grace.  Her newest releases include Nothing to Lose and Midnight Lies (Ella Grace).

Ingrid Seymour
Ingrid Seymour is the author of Ignite the Shadows (Harper Voyager, August 2015). When she’s not writing books, she spends her time working as a software engineer, cooking exotic recipes, hanging out with her family and working out. She writes young adult and new adult fiction in a variety of genres, including Sci-Fi, urban fantasy, romance, paranormal and horror.  She lives in Birmingham with her husband, two kids and a cat named Mimi. 

Gayle Wilson
In addition to twice winning the prestigious RITA® Award, Gayle Wilson’s books have garnered more than 50 other awards and nominations.  Gayle holds a master’s degree in secondary education, with additional certification in the education of the gifted. Although her specialty was teaching honors and gifted students, as a former high school history and English teacher, she taught everything from remedial reading to Shakespeare and loved every minute she spent in the classroom.

 

Also joining us Saturday, August 2 for a book signing are Angela N. Blount, Betty Bolte, Christine Glover, Jillian Chantal, Julie Johnstone, Larynn Ford, and Meda White.  Thanks to the Southern Magic Chapter of Romance Writers of America for bringing all of these wonderful writers to Hoover Library!
