Driving Miss Daisy

National Tour

Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, is a witty, timeless, searing and ultimately hopeful meditation on growing old, relationships and loyalty. Set against the backdrop of the Civil Rights Era, Miss Daisy lives a life of privilege while her chauffeur, Hoke, lives the life of an African-American man in the days of Jim Crow. Their relationship, spanning 25 years, is a reflection of critical and changing times in American society in an iconic tale of pride and the transformative power of friendship.
