Adapted from two of Truman Capote’s most famous stories, The Thanksgiving Visitor and A Christmas Memory, and inspired by Capote’s own experiences growing up in Depression-era Alabama, this play follows the adventures of a young boy during a holiday season - Capote’s literary representation of his younger self. Consequently, there are two characters to represent Capote at two different stages of his life - the seven-year-old Buddy and the middle-aged Truman - in a production that embraces the charm of southern tradition, the relationship of family and the importance of our shared humanity. Holiday Memories is brought to you by Red Mountain Theatre Company in collaboration with Philip Mann and the Alabama center for the Arts and features Suzanne Mann.
