No time limits and bring back the headphones!
Due to the high demand of public access computers, the Library implemented time management software in 2007. Because the Library originally did not want to limit the use of computes by the public, Hoover was one of the last libraries in the county to implement this service. However, patron demand and requests for more computers necessitated the implementation of this software. The Library has set limits that we feel are equitable and allow the most number of patrons to access the public computers. As for the headphones, the Library once provided headphones on all Internet Access PC. Due to theft and damage, the headphones became too costly to replace. Disposable headphones are available for purchase in the Technology Hub and the Circulation Desk for $2.
