Outreach

Outreach To Daycares

In an effort to expose young children to books at a very early age, the Children's Department offers outreach services to daycare centers located in the City of Hoover. We can visit your location four times each school year (September-April) to promote books, reading and libraries through a fun-filled storytime. Call our preschool outreach coordinator Traci Wood to schedule a visit for your school, 444-7837.

Outreach To Elementary Schools

Let us come to your school! The Hoover Public Library is committed to working with local schools to promote books, reading and libraries. We’ll be happy to introduce students and teachers to hot new books, present a storytime, provide Alabama Virtual Library training, and more! Just let us know what you need! Schools must be located in the City of Hoover. Call outreach librarian Katie Jane Morris to schedule a visit for your school, 444-7839.

Tours

Bring your class or group and see what the library has to offer! The Children's department will schedule a tour for your group and customize it to your needs. We can do a storytime, teach you how to use the computer catalog or give you a tour of our entire facility via scavenger hunt…it’s up to you!  Call Katie Jane Morris for more information, 444-7839.
